Healers believe that you must first receive “attunements” before you have the power to practice this “crystals for healing” approach.
Healers are given special “attunements” to healing crystals which are like having the blessing of the special energy of the crystals within them. If this seems like hocus-pocus, note that attunement is nothing new to Reiki practitioners. Reiki practitioners of the Usui School, for example, go through attunements.

Some of the courses that teach ethereal crystal healing teach it only to advanced practitioners! Some schools take this so seriously that you must be a certified Reiki master, for example, and must have a certificate to show for it.
