A neighbor threw some crystals to me from over our fence! (And not just a few – it was raining crystals!) Before he retired, he had been in the wholesale business for these gems.
I thanked him graciously and went home and put the overflowing handful of sparkling, chiseled crystals on a special dish. I intuitively put the dish on my office desk, which houses my computer monitor. (I felt like I needed to “neutralize” the energy of my technological work wonders.)
I later learned that that is exactly one thing that people all over the world use crystals for! That is, to charge and cleanse their work and living spaces.
In holistic healing, the healing properties of gem stones and crystals are used as tools to help us rebalance and recharge our energy fields.
The healing powers of gem stones may lie in their ability to attract, hold and reflect energy and light. White light is the highest form of energy there is. White light contains all of the colors known to us. (The colors that some spiritual healing stones and crystals reflect.)
This light is very healing and heavenly. These are the powers that healers and mystics are harnessing when they use metaphysical healing stones and crystals.
But my story doesn’t end there! Through my research and talking to other healers, I quickly learned that lead crystal (or Austrian crystal) is a man-made variety of “lead glass.” Although it reflects light, healers do not use this kind of crystal for healing! ...This is the kind of crystal that my neighbor gave to me.
The crystals that healers use are quartz and gemstone crystals. These natural healing stones are known for their healing properties. They are mined from the Earth and are mainly sold in New Age book stores. You can also find them over the Internet, but make sure that the seller is reputable.
A lot of people, who aren’t healers, think that this is all “Woo-Woo” magic! Yet Einstein was one of the main scientists to make the idea of energy and energy fields popular. Everything on Earth has an energetic frequency.
