Healing with magnets, also called “bio magnetic therapy,” has gained some great interest among researchers and
alternative practitioners.
Although most magnets are made from metal and iron compounds, magnetite and hematite are made from
natural rock
that also has magnetic properties in it.
Magnetic jewelry like magnetite rings and hematite bracelets are popular. This is because they are made out of minerals with these magnetic qualities.
The Magnificence of Magnetic Therapy
Magnet therapy is a complementary
holistic healing treatment.
It is believed to work by applying special healing magnets called “permanent magnets” to parts of the body in need of healing.
By placing these medical magnets on the body, they are supposed to help control pain, speed healing and help with circulation.
Magnets for health are said to create their own magnetic field. Some healers also call this: “magnetic field therapy.”
This magnetic field is supposed to positively affect our bodies at a cellular level.
Cautionary Notes
People who use equipment like insulin pumps or pacemakers should not use therapy magnets. (This goes for any other medical devices that you use on your body.) This is because the magnets can interfere with the performance of these machines.
Current research also indicates that there is no conclusive proof that bio magnets work. Although some
doctors
are recommending health magnets to their patients overseas, the verdict on the healing powers of magnets is not out yet.
This hasn’t had any effect on how popular they are. Biomagnetics have certainly garnered some widespread attention recently. Do the magnets work? You may be the best judge of that!
